International Law Association Japan Branch was established on 13 December 1920. The history of the Japan Branch is available here and here. It is authorized as a general incorporated association. On 30 April 2025, Judge Shunji Yanai stepped down as President of the Japan Branch. Starting from 1 May 2025, Judge Yasumasa Nagamine (Former Supreme Court Justice) is the President. The Japan Branch expresses its congratulations to our Honorary President Judge Shigeru Oda on his 100th birthday. He was born on 22 October 1924. We publish Japanese Yearbook of International Law (former title Japanese Annual of International Law). Japanese Yearbook of International Law, Vol.67 was published in February 2025.
